We're now a couple of weeks into term, and things are going full swing. Things got off to a rocking start with Josh and Justin here and the surprise arrival of Newby and Abby, who are currently au pairing in Germany. Between them and Dave K, who is back as a helper this term, we had a mini reunion of the class of 2003-2004. The web grew further with the arrival of Maria, the girlfriend of Jordan (aka Pezekiel) and the visit of Kimberly, who brought toddler Timothy, who was still firmly ensconsed in her tummy when we were all last together. In other news of terms gone by, I recently learned that Michael Shivers and his wife Laurie are expecting a new addition to their family in July. Also in July, the world will stand in awe as the romance of Sarah and Caleb culminates in the big "I Do". Unless Tig gets PMS that day. We'll see how it goes....

But enough of the old days, the new days are pretty exciting too. Bellevue is close to full, and the new group is wonderful. I'm looking forward to the next few months with them. It's also great to reconnect with old friends, like the aforementioned Dave K (whose sister is also with us this term) and Adrienne, who I'm ecstatic to be in the same house with again. Activities this term have been fairly limited as we're a bit hemmed in by the weather and a burning desire not to walk up the ice to Villars too often, although we did make it out to play pool once or twice. Mostly it has been game playing and chatting. The flu bug swept through this last week, and lots of people are still recovering, which adds to the group lethargy. Happily, the karmic repercussions of caring for others prevented me from getting sick. Thanks, universe!

We were very entertained by this on the way into the dungeon. On a sign letting us know that touch screen information was available inside for those who need it, various parts were complelely worn away by the brain trusts trying to get the brass plaque to act as a touch screen. God, I love people...
